“Yammy’s Pad Thai”

This is a good recipe, this isn’t my favorite.. Perhaps I should of lessened the amount of garlic that I used because it definitely has a kick. I also used a half of a red bell pepper, and I’ve noticed the bell pepper really helps stabilize the taste. Also I used a potato slicer to cut the zucchini, which leaves it without that noodle texture. I also didn’t use ginger, but as I said earlier, I hate ginger. I also didn’t use any Braggs Amino Acids, I haven’t been able to find any. But it’s still a very good recipe, try it for yourself! I’m almost positive I used too much garlic (I can really taste it.. too much) so maybe that’s why! :D I’ll try it again another time and let you know!

Recipe:

Pad Thai Sauce:
1 Tbsp Tahini
1 Tbsp Almond Butter
1/8 Cup Cashews
1/4 cup Sundried Tomatoes, soaked
2 Dates, soaked 1 hour
Juice of 1/2 lime
1 Tsp fresh ginger, grated
Braggs Amino Acids, to taste
Curry powder, to taste

1. Blend in food processor with some water until you reach desired consistency.
2. Serve on your favorite Zucchini or Cucumber Pasta
3. Top with red or yellow bell pepper, diced and marinated with Portobellos

Portobellos:
1 Portobello mushroom
1 part apple cider vinegar
1 part Braggs Amino Acids
2 tbsp olive oil
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
1 tsp agave nectar or honey

1. Cut the mushrooms into bite sized pieces.
2. Put them in a bowl with the other ingredients and mix well.
3. Add to Pad Thai.

Kale Tacos


Kale Tacos

This is a delicious and easy to prepare meal that I’ve literally made with my pocket knife on hiking trips. They are Kale Taco’s, and they will definately kick start your energy levels.. You think 5 Hour Energy works? It doesn’t do as good as a job as this. On top of that, that drink only last 5 hours and after that, your body will crash.. again. Why not maintain a full day with full energy with Raw Food!? :D Meals like this will not only fill you up, but load you on the nutrients your body WANTS and NEEDS giving you natural energy that most people probably haven’t felt since they were a kid.

The Recipe is rather simple

Washed Kale Leaves
Sliced Mango
Sliced Avocado
Dates (if desired)
Sliced Tomatoes (if desired)

Place the Mango, Avocado, Dates, and Tomatoes in the Kale Leaf and eat it like it’s a Taco! It’s RAWsome! With this dish I served Cherries and Kiwi Slices on the side. I swear, If it wasn’t snowing.. In April.. In New Mexico.. I would of gone for a nice long run. I’ve got pent up energy.. But I hate the cold.. I think I’ll stay inside and watch TV instead.. :(

Blue-Green Orange Bliss

This delicious green drink is fairly easy to make, minus peeling the oranges. Having a juicer really helps. And in this picture.. It almost looks as if I am drinking a Guinness for breakfast! It’s so RAWsome!
Recipe:

5 Oranges, peeled
1-2 Tbsp of Spirulina (or other blue-green algae)
2 Tbsp of Flax Oil

Juice Oranges then stir in Spirulina and Flax Oil, Serve and Enjoy!

Creamy Carrot Ginger Soup

Originally this soup called for Ginger, But I didn’t know where it was at.. yeah…. that’s it.. Truthfully, I hate ginger.. Maybe next time I’ll try it. But for now, I’ll save my taste buds for the good stuff! Here’s the Recipe:

3 cups fresh carrot juice
1 avocado
1/2 cocunut meat (optional)
1/2 lime juice
2 tbsp agave nectar
1 tbsp minced ginger (I made it optional)
1/4 cayenne
1/4 tsp sea salt
Few sprigs of cilantro for garnish (optional)

Put in a high speed blender, puree everything.

Eat more like this and you will never have to say “what’s up doc?” again. /drumroll!

Okay that was cheesy..

Waldorf Salad

Hmm.. Holy crap this is delicious. I didn’t think the onion would blend in too well but it’s very subtle! Here’s the recipe for this RAWSOME Meal:

2 Fuji Apples, chopped
2 Tomatoes, chopped
2 Avocados, chopped
1 Orange Sweet Bell Pepper, Chopped
1/2 Sweet Onion, Chopped
Handful of Sprouts. I used Broccoli Sprouts.
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
Pinch of Sea Salt
Dash of Cayenne Pepper
Dash of Onion Powder

1. Combine everything in a bowl.
2. Eat and be full in approximately 6 bites.
3. Be RAWesome.

This serves 2 people, Easily.
